We’re working on our next poster project, here are some sketches of background scenes we’re not going to use. The never-die cyberpunk fan may be able to spot what we’re up to…

Been a while since we had a new entry to the Large Library, but we’re back! Now with a one page feature in issue 140 of Dzone magazine, showing selected pieces from the recent Stealth & Exploration series. You can view part of the magazine including our feature here. For the longer pieces including interviews and features with the likes of MACHINE you can buy the mag hardcopy here or iGet it on your iPuter from the app store. Oh yeah international audience beware, this mag is strictly in Dutch!

Hey we’re a quarter of the way into 2012 and the world hasn’t ended yet! In lieu of regular updates (unless you follow our twitter/facebook) here’s a big batch of what we’ve been up to lately…
We mentioned that we started using Society6 right? A lot of the work we do is for our own enjoyment, but through the storefront you too can own a piece of the Largetosti design legacy. Our cut of the profits is terrible but at least we don’t have to mess with stock keeping, packaging, postage and all that noise.
The Dazzle Camo series was the first side project to launch there, along with the STEALTH series and its PILOTS addendum. The adventures of IRON OF STEEL have also been revived, the most manly man ever born from a nuclear bomb colliding with an diamond astroid now sells his speedo designs as phone skins and laptop covers in our store.
Our Jeremy Lin tribute was featured on maybe the world’s greatest NBA blog Got ‘em Coach, and ripped off by the Chinese. We immediately ordered ourselves one of the pirate phone covers but it seems to be on the slow boat here, there will certainly be a review when we finally get it.
The annual Big Brother Awards by Bits of Freedom have been around again for which we provided an update to the site, the poster and design for the jury report. Big winners this year are Facebook, Edith Schippers (the Dutch Minister of Health, Welfare and Sports) and the Dutch national police (KLPD). Fred Teeven, Dutch state secretary for Security and Justice, won the popular vote. You can still watch video of the entire event thanks to Engage.
We had a one-page feature in Dzone Magazine, you can check it out online here, buy the magazine hardcopy here, or purchase it for your iDevices in the app store.
Our new site launched! It’s totally unfinished, as is the tradition. We’ll be filling back in the old archive soon. It’s just one of those annoying jobs you never seem to get around to. This time we have made an effort to articulate what we actually do, but it’s probably no clearer than ever before. You’re welcome.
New site for Dokters van de Wereld launched as well, designed and developed in collaboration with Johnny Wonder. You can read a quick post about it here.
Finally another side project launched, check out TANGRAMMAR. Damn we really need to write this stuff up more frequently again huh. Thanks to you if you made it this far, now please enjoy our favorite video of the last 3 months, see you back here soon.
Ok then, only a day late ain’t too bad. In the weeknotes this week, our news, other news and audio.
Our News:
We dropped a new set of our stock vectors on Nanamee. The gnarled primitives collection:
There’s a new old t-shirt in our outlet store, a tribute to the cyberpunk movement. The literary movement of the 80′s that is, not the depressing teen cybergoth leather trenchcoat army that followed…
We’ve also embarked on a new project in collaboration with our friendly neighborhood communication & media strategists Johnny Wonder, more on that probably as it launches in a few months time.
Other News:
Rick Poynor has another good piece on Design Observer concerning the demise of Grafik Magazine and the developing nature of Design Criticism. Read it here.
We have a new #1 most anticipated movie. It’s already been funded, but there’s still 9 days left on the clock if you would also like to throw money at it.
C (Kickstarter Promo) from Derek Van Gorder on Vimeo.
No CGI, no greenscreen, just awesome old-school in-camera special effects. Check out more details and updates on the project on Kickstarter.
Audio
The week award for least annoying dubstep mix goes to: J’aime le Dubstep 151 by Riskoteque.
And that’s all.
DEATHMARCH 2012 was brought to you this week by the mutant space launching spawn of Ekranoplan, and cross-field relay buggymageddon. Check out that driver switch, nice!
See you next week!
