Mink had an interview and some of his work featured in the official Italian NBA Magazine this month, click the image to view the spread in full.

Here’s the original English text of the interview:

What’s your relation with NBA basketball?
In the early 90′s it became cool to start collecting Basketball trading cards. I already started playing basketball so this was my introduction to NBA basketball. At that time the only thing I could see was a program called NBA action with showed a recap of games played that week. From then on I was hooked.

Are you a fan? What’s your favourite team?
As a non US citizen I have no affiliation to any city in the US, so I base my favourite team on the player I like most. Since entering the league my favorite player is Lebron James, so right now my favorite team is the Miami Heat.

Have you ever been to an NBA game?
I wish I had, but I haven’t. I have visited the US on numerous occasions but every time I was there it was out of season. Last time I visited during the NBA season it was the lockout, so I’ve only seen a couple of closed arenas.

Who’s your NBA idol? Why?
My idol is Lebron James. His combination of strength, speed, court vision and athleticism is unbelievable. I think Lebron is going to be the greatest of all time. I’m a sucker for power players and really like Charles Barkley, Larry Johnson, Shaq, Shawn Kemp and Blake Griffin. But my second favorite player right now is Rajon Rondo. I really like his style and passing, and think he’s the best pure point guard in the league.

Played by Tony Sirico, Paulie ‘Walnuts’ Gualtieri is a high ranking associate of the fictional Soprano crime family of New Jersey. he can appear psychotic and unstable is as a source of comic relief. His paranoia and superstition will often offer up a good dose of humor into the episodes as does his ability to sleep with inexplicably young and attractive women!

Daryl Dixon, formerly known as Murphy McManus, is one of the orginal Atlanta camp survivors He met Merle Dixon who took him into his home when all the other rednecks didn’t. Murphy then took on the name Daryl Dixon, a few weeks since the prison breakout so the law enforcement wouldn’t track him down. Daryl and Merle grew a brotherly bond into which they set out to travel the U.S. in a RV.

Ari Gold // OUT/CAST

Ari Gold is one of the most powerful agents in Hollywood and represents Vincent Chase, Mary J. Blige, Larry David, M. Night Shyamalan and many others. He works incredibly hard, waking around 5:30 am and reading scripts late into the night. He is stressed at all times and speaks very quickly as time is money.

Forget about the lead character of the show. This series is about the side characters who steal the show. The First character in this series of Out/cast’s is:

Omar Devon Little is a renowned stick-up man who lives by a strict moral code and never deviates from his rules, foremost of which is that he never robs or menaces people who are not involved in ‘the game’ Omar is the only major character on the series who claims to make a point of not using profanity.

Support Tokyo x Creatives – Episode 1: UAMOU

Hey! As you may know Niko Lanzuisi (aka Studio Donbe) has been camped out in our studio since his return from Tokyo. He’s been working with us on a couple of things, but also has several hours worth of footage for documentaries he shot in Japan just lying around, so we’ve helped to launch a campaign in order to raise some funds and buy the time to get this material into production. Check out the campaign video!

The first documentary is on UAMOU, the creation of artist & designer Ayako Tagaki. If you’re into vinyl toys you may well be familiar with her work, if not you can still enjoy a great story of a contemporary Japanese artist and the friends and family from the neighbourhood who have come together to support her work.

New site for Lucas Lenglet

We just launched a new site for artist Lucas Lenglet. Lucas does a range of architectural / spatial / sculptural / photographic and otherwise cross-medial work that sometimes involves birds or Molotov cocktails, but generally not simultaneously.

Lucas had a strong minimalist vision for the design of the site, which corresponded well with our views on the construction of artists’s websites in that they should remain clean & flexible but objectively display the work and not compete with it for visual attention.

Remember the motion bit (eye-dent, if you will) we did last year for the opening of EYE film museum? We thought it was only used back then but it turns out it’s been running on the jumbo screen at Leidseplein this whole time. Who knew? Anyway we heard you like movies so we put our movie in this movie so you can watch it while you watch.
